The XXL Pilot Factory provides open and real-scale testbeds for technology development and workforce training at the EU level to accelerate the adoption of novel methodologies in shipbuilding and metalworking sectors.

These real-scale testbeds have been designed to perform experimentation and provide prototyping space to technological-based companies to further advanced digital technologies in shipbuilding and metalworking sectors, as well as providing visibility to the end-users about the possibilities of the use of digital technologies in their production.
